What is Henna? Henna is a traditional women's decorative art form used for celebrations. The origins of decorative henna are unclear but it is suggested that it originated in Egypt and traveled through Asia, Northern Africa and the Middle East
What is Henna made out of?
Henna is made from the leaves of a flowering plant that grows in dry arid countries. When it is mixed with an acid, such as lemon juice, and essential oil, such as lavender, a dye release happens and it is used to stain the top layer of your skin.

How long does it last? Contrary to popular belief henna does not fade, it exfoliates so as your skin sheds you will lose the pigment. The average time is really dependent on how long you leave it on, how well you care for it and your personal chemistry. Most commonly it can last a week to 10 days.

How do I care for it? Leave the paste on your skin for at least 4 hours. It usually takes 20-30 minutes to be dry to the touch. Remove the active paste over the garbage and oil it with natural oil (coconut, olive, shea butter all work great). Keeping your henna moisturized especially when exposed to water will definitely help it last longer.

Do guys get henna? Yes. Guys get henna, We do however suggest not applying henna to children under 6, and of course anyone who is pregnant should always ask their doctor first and make their artist aware of their condition. When anyone puts something on your body you have the right to ask all the questions you want.

Does henna come in colors? Natural henna only comes in shades of brown. "Black henna" is toxic and should never be used and white henna is a paint. Want some pizzazz? We are happy to add glitter to your designs.

We will then contact you to discuss the details and room requirements.
We will prepare a a special rate for you which reflects the services you are requesting and email you a proposal package complete with colorful photos, various options to read over and choose from, and the rate for every option you might be interested in. Once you decide on the event package you love best, we will have everything we need to send you a contract so you can lock us in for your event!

Everything was wonderful!
Kids and adults loved their hennas. It added a unique touch to one of the last sweet 16’s for my daughters group of friends, and they enjoyed showing them off at school on Monday.
